May 21, 2012. WIP: Giraffe hoop art! (Custom order for Christie)
A client asked for embroidery hoop art featuring a giraffe, the name “Elyse,” and pink and green color scheme. This was the quick sketch that I sent her for the design I had in mind. Maybe I should have colored it in before taking the photo… x]
I changed up the proportions as I was cutting the felt to make it cuter… that always seems to happen because I can never DRAW exactly what’s in my head — it’s always easier to cut or crochet it. >.<
Anyway, now it’s just waiting to be sewn!!! :D

I finally found some time to pack up six boxes to ship out (and I just happened to do it on President’s Day… when the post office is closed lol)! Thought I’d take a picture for memory’s sake! Do these amigurumi animals look familiar? They’re the ones that I raffled off for a giveaway… back in December. -____- The three winning ladies have been soooo patient and understanding, and I’m super thankful. <3 When I do another giveaway, I’ll have to remember not to do it at a time when I’m drowning in other chaotic responsibilities. Lesson learned.
Stanley the Giraffe, Hugo the Unicorn, and Monty the Penguin will be in their new homes very soon. <3
NibbleZ and Z-Stanley have become inseparable! It’s amazing how similar palates can create such strong friendships. :P

Starring: Z-Stanley (the zombie giraffe), Nibbles (blue panda), Millie (pink panda), and Mumbles (original panda).
Z-Stanley (the zombie giraffe) must have been very hungry while I was gone!! I knew I should have crocheted some brains to feed him before I left for work…
I came home to the sight of Z-Stanley munching on Nibbles! THE HORRORRRRRR!! D: I shooed him off and found some leftover brains to keep him occupied. Because I was busy feeding Z-Stanley, I forgot to tell Mumbles and Millie about the crocheted catastrophe and brace them for bad news… the poor things had to find out the hard way.
Can our friend Nibbles be saved?!

Chef Raton. I wish I took a picture of Chef Raton and his twin brother, but I forgot. These two guys are being loved by my manager’s two sons. He said that they sleep with these amigurumis every night!! That makes me so happy. <3

Double Happiness Wood Project! This was my first wood project made using a jigsaw power tool, sander, and paint. After all that hard work, this piece was featured at a Chinese wedding!! :D
