I also finished and delivered my giraffe this weekend (totally forgot to mention that in my post about being productive hehe)!
This art hoop was designed as a custom order for Christie. :) I should have taken a photo of it from the side so that you could see all the 3D awesomeness going on! The letters and giraffe are puffy, and the leaves stick out — it’s very poke-able and pinch-able!
Thanks for being so fun and easy to work with, Christie!

I was super productive this weekend!!! Here’s a quick progress shot of two custom orders and a little chocolate amigurumi bear that I’m crocheting (I’m basically redesigning Pepe the Baby Bear so that I can write a pattern for him). :P
What color Baby Bears do you want to see?

May 15, 2012.
On the evening before Chloe had to move away (she’s already been adopted by a lovely family in Sacramento!!!), we spent some time playing in their favorite garden. I decided to take lots of photos, and these turned out to be my favorite! Zoey kept photobombing and jumping on Chloe, laughing and giggling as Chloe tried very hard not to topple over!!! :)
At the end of the day, Zoey and Chloe sat quietly and gazed off into the distance, reflecting on all the great memories they’ve shared. They’re sad that they won’t be moving to the same home together, but there’s no doubt that they’ll find happiness wherever they go. Bon voyage, Chloe! ♥

Meet Chloe (in the pink) and Zoey (in the green), A.K.A. Flip and Flop! Don’t be fooled by their calm, shy appearance in these photos — they earned those nicknames for a reason…
While most bunnies like to hop, Chloe’s favorite form of transportation is flipping! Whether she’s cartwheeling, doing front flips or back flips, Chloe loves to tumble and play wherever she goes. The other animals in our home say she’s one of the most cheerful and energetic bunnies they’ve ever met! There’s no doubt that she brightens up our days.
Chloe’s twin sister, best friend, and tumbling sidekick is Zoey! Although Chloe can tumble like a gymnastics star, Zoey’s tumbling skills are likened to those of a goofy clown with over-sized feet… attempting to run down a hill… that’s covered in lots of slippery mud. You may be able to imagine why she’s known as “Flop.” :) Zoey’s endearing clumsiness and great sense of humor bring laughter into our lives, and the other animals love her to death.
Please come visit us again throughout the week to see more photos, stories, and updates! Zoey will be up for adoption very soon, and a Spring Bunny crochet pattern will be published this week!
Plus, check out my FREE SPRING FLOWER CROCHET PATTERN on Craftsy. :)
Hope to see you soon! Cheers!
I have a few more photosets of 2012 Spring bunnies to share with you!
Lots of photos, quirky stories, and announcements to come!
Sorry for the bunny overload this month — I promise that other crocheted animals will come soon! I’ve just been super excited because this is going to be the first amigurumi pattern that I’ve ever published!!! :D
Goodnight for now. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

On another note, Jessica (starxchaser) just unintentionally made my night! I was browsing through my dashboard and spotted Monty the Penguin!!! <3 Thanks for featuring my amigurumi creation in your icon/avatar, Jess! I’m very honored. :D

May 10, 2012.
These little bunnies have arrived at their new home all the way in Maryland!!! :D
Although I love amigurumi, designing/creating this embroidery hoop art was also really fun and rewarding. It gives me a chance to mix textiles and techniques, and I hope to continue experimenting. I currently have two other hoops and a crochet flower pin in the works for three different clients! Woohoooo! *happy dance* I’ll be sewing and crocheting the night away.
Sorry about bunny overload this month. LOL I promise there will be different animals coming soon! :P
Till next time!
<3 Josephine
Thanks for your name suggestions! :D
May 8, 2012,
You are all so awesome and creative. Picking the final names for my Spring Bunnies will be a difficult task! :P
I finished photographing and editing all the photos for my crochet patterns! *throws confetti!* My Spring Bunny pattern (this will be found on Etsy, Craftsy, and amigurumipatterns.net) and my FREE flower pattern will be coming very soon… hopefully this weekend? I’m just waiting for them to be tested. :) I can’t wait to reveal the final product!!! :D
I hope you’re all having a fantastic week. :)

SNEAK PEEK - SHE’S ALIIIIIIVE!!!!
These twin bunnies need NAMES! Any suggestions? :D
Please visit A Morning Cup of Jo Creations Facebook fan page sometime. See you there! :D

Side note: I finished sewing my green/blue amigurumi bunny last night, but I probably won’t be able to add accessories and blush till later this week because I’m swamped with essays & tests right now. :( LOL I’m now paying dearly for procrastinating all weekend. Why does crocheting have to be so fun?!
April 29, 2012. Work-in-Progress: Spring Bunny Pattern!
I have a newfound respect for crochet pattern designers!!! @__@
My Friday and Saturday came and went as I tried to translate my tiny page of amigurumi notes into an official pattern. There are just not enough hours in a day! I learned that I’ve greatly underestimated the amount of time and work that goes into designing patterns, and I bow down to all of you out there who consistently produce great patterns that are detailed and easy to follow. You are all amazing crocheters. <3
I still have A LOT of work to do, but the process has been fun! :D My goal is to make my pattern accessible to crocheters of all skill levels, so I’m trying to make everything as clear as possible.
I hope to fill up this pattern with tons of pictures, and maybe create video/photo tutorials for the flower and leaves since those pieces require much different techniques than the rest of the bunny. For those who don’t need the pictures, I’m thinking of providing a printer-friendly, to-go version at the end of my pattern as well. What do you think? Please let me know! :)
<3 Josephine
QUESTIONS: Would two versions of my pattern (picture-filled and printer-friendly versions) be helpful to you as crocheters? Is anyone interested in a FREE flower pattern and/or video?
April 27, 2012.
I’m playing around with new proportions for my official 2012 Spring Bunny! Her head is a lot bigger than her body now. :P Find more photos @ A Morning Cup of Jo Creations. <3
What do you think, is she pattern worthy???
Do you know anyone who’ll want to crochet their very own Spring Bunny?
