Feb. 1, 2012.

With the amount of crocheting I’ve been doing lately and with the super tight tension I’ve been using, my aluminum Boye crochet hook has been tearing up my finger.  The callous and gnarly cuticle is kinda scary (TMI?)!!!  Don’t worry, I won’t upload any pictures. :P

I finally decided to purchase two ergonomic crochet hooks and a thread-cutting pendant (I strung it on a ribbon to use as a necklace) by the Clover brand.  If you know how frugal I am, you’d probably understand why I was mulling over this decision for so long. >.<

THIS WAS THE BEST CROCHET PURCHASE I’VE EVER MADE.  EVERRRRRR.  The blade pendant is soooo handy, and it looks so much less dangerous than whipping out my huge scissors in public.  Most people think I’m just wearing a locket, and have complimented it as a pretty one… yes, I crochet in public.  :)  As for the hook, it’s much smoother against yarn and doesn’t catch as much, making amigurumi animals a little easier to crochet now. Oh, and the grip is nice and soft! :D

I EVEN BOUGHT SOME ECO-FRIENDLY YARN!!! <3  Watch out, Jo is splurging!  LOL.  Ideally, all of my yarn will be eco-friendly one day… when I can afford it.  A girl can dream. :)

Wow, I just realized that I was overwhelmed with the need to blog about crocheting supplies in the middle of the night…  This is slightly embarrassing, but not enough to click ‘Cancel.’ :P

If you’ve read this far about my silly excitement, thanks. :)  BTW, the photos were stolen from amazon.com and the Red Heart website… hehe.

Happy crocheting!
