Pepe the Baby Bear, Zoey the Spring Bunny, and I couldn’t afford the tickets for Disneyland, so we settled on the next best option: DOWNTOWN DISNEY!!!

Pepe excitedly dashed over to his favorite store, Build-a-Bear! It’s not often that he gets to hang out with deflated animals looking for their white fluffy innards and little red hearts. :P He became a little impatient waiting for Zoey to catch up — she was living up to her nickname (Flop), tripping over herself and flopping on her belly because she was too busy ogling the giant Lego Beast from her favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast.

The moment we stepped into the dressing room, Zoey’s eyes lit up! So many tiny little outfits!!! Zoey has not played dress-up since Chloe (her twin sister) left for Sacramento. Pepe had a bad feeling about this…

“Chloe, come back now!!!” — Pepe
.
Zoey made Pepe try on outfit after outfit, squealing in delight with every new accessory she found. Every time Pepe tried to escape the dressing room, Zoey’s long arms pulled him right back! ”Maybe going to Build-a-Bear was a mistake,” he thought. Just when he started to give up hope, he caught Zoey distracted by the bin of deflated bunnies! As she happily conversed with them about carrots and their hopes of finding new homes, Pepe made a run for it!!! Zoey felt a quick breeze pass behind her and KNEW Pepe got away.
While we looked for Pepe in the surrounding stores, look who we found instead!!! *GASP!* IT’S MICKEY MOUSE!!!!!!!! Zoey’s had a little crush on him for quite some time now. He’s the tall, dark, and handsome type, you know — she doesn’t get to meet many tall animals at A Morning Cup of Jo Creations.

Zoey! Calm down!!! You’re making Mickey feel uncomfortable.

After Zoey finished fangirling over Mickey (well, she didn’t really finish… I had to pry him out of her arms), we left the Disney Store to continue the search for Pepe. We found this little guy wandering around Rainforest Cafe — he seemed mesmerized by the place. ”How do the temple’s torches keep going and going? Where did that waterfall come from — I see no river! Why do I hear birds and rain when neither are in sight?! WHAT IS GOING ON?! THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!”
Zoey and I decided not to answer Pepe’s questions so that he could revel in Disney magic. As we drove home, he couldn’t stop talking about our trip! Maybe one day he’ll be able to visit the real Disneyland… one day. :)

YAY!!! THIS IS AMAZING! Catherine is the first to post a photo of her finished bunny! I love the colors she chose for her sweater. :) Can’t wait to see more amigurumi bunnies around the world!

I’m writing one of my two papers for Child Development right now… and instead of writing “rough and tumble play,” I accidentally wrote “rough and tumblr play.” Can you tell what was on my mind instead of writing about preschool observations? :P I didn’t catch the typo till a few paragraphs later, and then I made the same mistake again as I typed this post. -____- Haha…
It’s going to be a long night, a pot of coffee kind of night…
In brighter news, I’ve made 102 bracelets for my students so far (and a super colorful necklace for the teacher for whom I volunteer)! Another 36 phrases are already spelled out and waiting to be strung with fancy schmancy glow-in-the-dark beads. How many do you think I can finish before Monday? Haha ha T__T… I’ll sleep when the school year’s over!!!
